"My wife and I just returned from an amazing trip to Croatia and Montenegro. I did the Zambezi rafting with Hamish last year and wanted to bring my wife on a sailing trip."Mark Schneider
Croatia is fast becoming the must-visit destination in Europe. It’s a country rich in natural beauty and nowhere is that more evident than the spectacular islands on the Dalmatian Coast. This beautiful coastline offers picturesque anchorages, fascinating history and gorgeous sailing conditions. You will sample an array of local cuisine in the many quality restaurants en route or delicious meals freshly prepared by your skipper and crew on board our 50-foot sailboat. End your trip visiting the ancient UNESCO World Heritage city of Dubrovnik. Add on an optional extension to visit beautiful neighbouring country Montenegro where we will raft the Tara River and explore Kotor old town.
Let us share this exciting destination with you.
Arrive into Split where your skipper will meet you and accompany you to your hotel in the picturesque old town of Trogir. We meet for a meal in one of the many excellent restaurants where your skipper will give you a run down on the next few days of your trip.
Included: Dinner
After breakfast, we head to the marina where you’ll board your yacht and the skipper will give you a full safety briefing. After a short sail, we reach the fantastic bay of Krknjaši on Drvenik Veli island. Have a swim and enjoy lunch in the azure waters. The afternoon sees us sail the short distance to Solta where we anchor in a picture perfect bay before enjoying local delicacies at a nearby restaurant.
All meals included
Take a dive off the yacht for a wake up swim while the skipper prepares breakfast and freshly brewed coffee. Our planned destination for tonight is Starigrad, on the island of Hvar. Situated in a sheltered harbour, we moor up and give you time to explore this historic town, one of Croatia’s oldest dating back to 385 BC. At night we enjoy one of the many seaside restaurants on offer.
All meals included
After a relaxed start to the day, we sail towards Otok Scedro, a remote island. Here if we are lucky, the local wine and olive oil producer will pop over for an on board tasting. Alternatively, have a swim or take the dinghy into shore for a short hike while your meal is prepared.
All meals included
Our hosts deliver freshly baked croissants and pastries direct to the yacht! Today our destination is the fascinating island of Vis, which until 1989 was entirely closed to tourism as it served as a Yugoslav military base. This ancient city delights history lovers, while fans of Mamma Mia may recognise it as one of the movie locations. You can watch the film in an outdoor theatre most evenings. Tuck into delicious local seafood or lamb but leave room for delicious ice cream from a hugely popular gelato shop.
All meals included
After breakfast at a seafont cafe, we sail from Vis to Solta for a relaxed day. It can be a wonderful place to take a swim in the middle of the calm clear seas, an experience many of our guests list as one of their highlights. Enjoy your last full day sailing. Dinner tonight on board the yacht.
All meals included
We depart our mooring off the island of Solta and have breakfast en route back to Trogir. Here once we say farewell to our yacht, we transfer by road to Dubrovnik and a look around this wonderful city. A spectacular meal out in one of the best restaurants in the city. Overnight in our old town hotel.
All meals included
This morning we take a morning paddle in Dubrovnik across to Loksum Island and back in time for breakfast.

We find most of our clients have in their possession already what is needed for a sailing trip. We have broken down here the items into what you’ll need on the yacht, on the river and in camp. An equipment list of what you will require for your adventure will be sent to you prior to your departure.
Download equipment fileMy wife and I just returned from an amazing trip to Croatia and Montenegro. I did the Zambezi rafting with Hamish last year and wanted to bring my wife on a sailing trip. It was a great experience with incredible food and company. From the first night dinner of grilled fish in a little place on Solta only accessible by boat to the Michelin experience in Dubrovnik to the beautiful surprise sundowner in Montenegro every meal was great. The boat was surprisingly comfortable for the eight of us and it we had great conditions for sailing. Both Captain Hamish and first mate Glenn were great companions and allowed us to be as involved with the sailing as we wanted to be. They were also incredibly helpful getting everyone safely on and off the boat and the dinghy.
My experience with WBN is that Hamish prioritizes safety and fun in equal measure. I am already planning my next adventure with them.
Just back from an extraordinary sailing trip in Croatia with WBN, which exceeded every expectation. We were in the best hands — Captain Hamish and First Mate Glenn were not only highly skilled and professional, but warm, engaging, and passionate about sharing this adventure. Each day brought a new gem: stunning coastal towns, crystal-clear coves perfect for swimming, and evenings spent enjoying delicious gourmet local food and wine. The sailboat was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped — And taking the helm was an added bonus!
As if the sailing trip weren’t incredible enough, the optional add-on adventure in Montenegro made it even more unforgettable. We kicked it off with a fun and splashy day rafting the crystal-clear waters of the Tara River. Then on to Kotor, where exploring the historic old town and dramatic coastline and caves felt like stepping into a fairytale.
WBN delivered a seamless, enriching, and truly amazing journey. It was the kind of trip that stays with you long after you return home. For anyone seeking sailing, adventure, beauty, amazing food/wine and unforgettable memories…..get on it!!!
I’ve done multiple rafting trips with WBN but this was my first time sailing ever and I loved every minute. Glenn and Hamish ensured we had the full sailing experience with safety always ensured. We moored up in beautiful coves as well as some stunning harbours where we had the chance to explore the picturesque streets. The food on this trip is exceptional both on and off the boat, we got to experience some of Croatia’s finest cuisine . We all had an amazing time and that’s thanks to the professionalism and friendliness of Glenn and Hamish, I’ve not felt this relaxed in years.
I’m already planning which WBN sailing trip to do next as it was so enjoyable.
