A Phenomenal Experience !!!

This was a remarkable experience from beginning to end! The amazing people I was fortunate enough to meet and share this adventure with, along with the hard-working, well experienced river guides truly made this the trip of a lifetime. And as an added bonus we had the one and only Hamish McMaster with us the entire trip, expediting all the adventures and ensuring that everything “flowed” along smoothly and keeping everyone safe and seeing to it that all of us truly had a memorable experience. The sites, sounds, and people of Papua New Guinea are truly one of a kind! When I was first asked to participate in this expedition I thought to myself,

“ White water rafting in Papua New Guinea?!

I don’t know anyone who’s ever been there.…”

And that is exactly the reason I chose to go! This was actually my first structured rafting adventure. Being that I live on the island of Maui in Hawaii, I go on many different types of adventures but nothing holds a candle to this experience I had with Water By Nature!

Papua New Guinea is by far one of the best river rafting trips I have ever been on. The people were so beautiful in every way I can’t even explain it. The river was so full of adventure and excitement there way something new around every corner. The Nusa Retreat and sea kayaking is the perfect way to end this journey. And the beauty of this country was mouth dropping. If you are thinking of doing this adventure don’t think twice just do it. You will be amazed at everything about it. 🫶🏻🙏🏻🥰

Papua New Guinea

Before I left for this trip I was warned of warring tribes, of ending up in the cooking pot, don’t go out at night etc. I can honestly say that the people we encountered in the Watut valley and around the Islands in Kavieng are the friendliest and happiest I have ever encountered. The scenery is breathtaking, the food picked from the trees and fish caught fresh from the ocean is the best I have ever tasted.

This is no “My group follow me tour “ It’s a proper expedition. Things will test you but if your the sort of person looking to push your boundaries well the rewards you will find in this country are beyond anything you could possibly imagine.

Thank you Hamish and water by nature for having the guts to run a trip into this wild, beautiful tropical Utopia and let me tick off a Country that has remained top of my bucket list for the last 30 years.

Kindest Regards

Nick McDonald
