USA

America has had a draw to travellers for many years. Few places in the United States of America have a bigger draw than the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River. Your journey takes you through time itself, with fascinating geology dating back millions of years. The river trip is 226 miles, featuring not only fun filled white water, but spectacular hikes up the side canyons, studying Indian history, geology and fossils. The campsites are spectacular and pristine, giving you some idea of what this must have been like for Major John Wesley Powell in 1869 during his navigation of the Grand Canyon in dories. Our trip starts and finishes in Flagstaff, small town America at its best, with a range of fantastic restaurants and micro-breweries. We recommend a trip out to the South Rim of the Canyon prior to the trip, a short drive from Flagstaff. The "Skywalk" is well worth the visit, a recent glass bridge built by the Hualapai Indians. Our rafting vacation, is the ultimate trip. See you there!
