As yet the river we run is undiscovered, so you will see the occasional goat herder and see monkeys and turtles. This is a gorgeous scenic stress free river trip, great for young and old alike.
Compliment your river journey with a visit to the most famous of Moroccan landmarks, The Sahara Desert. Visit berber villages, ride camels and explore the massive dunes of Erg Chebbi. In contrast, Morocco is also home to some of the best beaches in the world. Essaouira is a gorgeous seaside town situated directly west of Marrakech. It is the perfect place to eat fresh fish, sit in great cafes and get in a bit of sun at the end of your holiday.
Hidden Morocco: Experience the stunningly scenic Ahansel River for Morocco's best whitewater rafting. Travel from Marrakech into the heart of the Atlas Mountains towards the gorgeous first night camp beneath La Cathedrale on the banks of the river. Spend 4 nights camping and exploring the Ahansel River and its hidden valleys and secrets. Take a hike up to an old flour mill beside a 100 years old Kasbah. Post trip you'll stay in the gorgeous Widiane Hotel overlooking Bin El Ouidane before returning back to Marrakech for some exploration and shopping. The season runs from March - May.
Deserts & Rivers: Morocco is a wonderful and fascinating country to explore. In addition to exploring the great rapids and scenery of the Ahansel River, you'll join us to explore other fascinating areas of such as the Dades and Todra gorges, Rissani, Ait Bennhadou and of course the Sahara Desert. Ride camels in the dunes, watch the sunset and sleep in bedouin tents with stunning stars overhead. You'll stay in wonderful accommodation on your twelve day journey. Trips operate from March until May.
Moroccan Kayak School: For people looking to pick up a new skill as part of a holiday, our Morocco Kayak School proves a popular option. Limited to just 12 paddlers, you'll get expert tuition from the basics through to paddling challenging Grade II and III rapids. The course starts on the warm lake at Bin El Ouidane, before embarking on a slow and steady progression on the Aahansel River, when water levels are low and manageable in May.
Mellow Morocco Kayaking: Foe kayakers with a little more paddling experience, take a break from the winter to paddle the beautiful Ahansel River. A fun and fast alpine style river, you'll enjoy paddling the Grade III and IV rapids. We have a fleet of modern boats, so you can just fly with minimal gear and be well looked after. No paddling partners can be accommodated. Finish off with a few days in Essaouira, paddling on the beach and exploring this great town. Trips operate in March and April.
