Far from the traditional tourist resorts of the Mediterranean, in the picturesque North Eastern part of the country, lies the dramatic Coruh river. Flowing in the heart of the Kackar Mountain Range, this river epitomizes the word action as we raft what is seemingly an endless wet rollercoaster ride. Gorgeous rolling hills littered with alpine flowers frame our view, as we pass villages where friendly and welcoming locals beckon us with invitations to visit. Described in Lonely Planet's 100 Best Adventures "...one of the world s best rafting rivers, offering grade 4 to 5 rapids...but the rivers joy is the scenery - tear your eyes from the rapids and see 1500m gorge walls and snapshots of traditional life...." Threatened with a Dam, this may be your last chance to run this Classic River.
