Dougie is an impressive riverguide. He learned his "trade" on the steep technical rivers of New Zealand's North Island before traveling to far flung destinations to further his guiding abilities. He is a regular site on our Morocco, Turkey and Zambezi trips adding a special touch to all the trips that he leads. He has a wonderful nature with people and fills all his crews with masses of confidence. Apart from being a great campfire cook, he professes to be the best marshmellow toaster in the world.... we have to agree!

High Water Turkey
"Turkey is my favourite destination I have rafted to date. The river is incredible. It never lets up and the clients have such a great time on it, with rapid after rapid,, its like an endless roller coaster ride. Equally cool is the way the Turks are when we visit their country... just the friedliest people I have ever met. They always have time for you. Its cool to get back to town and have a Hammam (Turkish Bath) at the end of the trip... most of the clients thought they had a tan!"

"Nothing better than running the rivers from your home country. The west coast of the South Island has the best kayaking rivers in the world. Our guests feel like rock stars as they fly into the best rivers NZ has to offer. They'll get a great view of NZ life as well staying in some classic places and sampling kiwi hospitality. And the best bit, they get to eat heaps of kiwi ice cream!
