Georgia, although little known as a tourist destination, is packed full of history, is home to the spectacular Caucasus Mountains, the stunning western coastline where our adventure begins, as well as the world class whitewater on the Rioni River. Our adventure starts on the Black Sea coast in the exciting city of Batumi, from where we head inland through gorgeous green hills littered with mountain flowers, to Kutuaisi, home of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bagrati Cathedral. We sample wonderful hospitality from the Georgian people before and after your river trip. For those of you who would like to extend your adventure, the option exists to raft the final 2 days of the Coruh River in Turkey and it's associated excellent whitewater.
